A leading consulting firm in Toronto is seeking a Director for its Chief Data Analytic Office. The role involves leading enterprise data platform modernization, driving adoption of innovative technologies like Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, and mentoring the next generation of leaders. A strong background in software development and data governance is essential. At PwC, our people in software and product innovation focus on developing cutting‑edge cloud solutions and driving product innovation to meet the evolving needs of PwC Canada. As a Director within PwC’s Chief Data Analytic Office (CDAO), you will lead the modernization and implementation of the enterprise data platform, including Microsoft Fabric and Databricks. There will also be a data governance technology implementation of Collibra, which will need to be integrated with Databricks and Fabric following Data Governance taxonomies and guidance. You will be responsible for implementing these new technologies, driving digital transformation, and working collaboratively with the CDAO Data Engineering & Architecture team. Translating the vision, you set the tone and inspire others to follow. Your role is crucial in driving AI enablement, business growth, shaping the direction of data and transformation, and mentoring the next generation of leaders. You are expected to be a guardian of PwC's reputation, understanding that quality, integrity, inclusion and a commercial mindset are all foundational to our success. You create a healthy working environment while maximizing leader and end‑user satisfaction. You cultivate the potential in others and actively team across the PwC Network, understanding tradeoffs, and leveraging our collective strength. This role requires a strong sense of urgency and the ability to accelerate implementation efforts. The ideal candidate must be capable of rapidly standing‑up new technologies from scratch and driving execution with speed and precision. Given the current project delays, the Director must be proactive, results‑oriented, and able to lead teams in high‑pressure environments to meet aggressive timelines.
