Job summary

A leading construction firm in Regina is seeking an Engineering/Technical Student to assist in various site activities and project coordination. Candidates should have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field experience is an asset. Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketchup will be beneficial. This role offers a chance to grow and contribute meaningfully to construction projects.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting software is required.

Responsibilities

  • Report deficiencies by conducting various site visits.
  • Monitor and coordinate trade scopes of work.
  • Coordinate and update field drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Participate in project meetings with seasoned project professionals.
  • Conduct trade contractor quote reviews.
  • Take progress photos and monitor deficiency logs on-site.
  • Perform bid day assignments and manage overall bid document control.
  • Assist with on-site problem solving.

Responsibilities
  • Report deficiencies by going on various site visits.
  • Monitor and coordinate trade scopes of work.
  • Coordinate and update field drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Participate in project meetings and get a chance to be part of something bigger by working closely with seasoned project professionals.
  • Conduct trade contractor quote reviews.
  • Visit some of our projects and job sites while taking progress photos and monitoring deficiency logs, knowing that you helped build that.
  • Be responsible for performing bid day assignments and overall bid document control. Everyone at PCL takes ownership and that includes students.
  • Assist with on-site problem solving.
Qualifications
  • Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
  • Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
  • Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketchup will be considered an asset.
