Role : Engineering Scheduler (TS) - Intermediate or Senior
Contract Duration : 09/08/2025 - 12/31/2025
Work Location : Saskatoon, SK
Work Schedule : 40 hours a week, Monday - Friday

Role Description / Key Responsibilities
- Provide project planning and scheduling support for the engineering team and their related tasks and deliverables. Assist in inputting data into the overall project schedule.
- Have a strong understanding of engineering disciplines, work sequence, and deliverables.
- Understand work breakdown structure (WBS), critical path method (CPM) scheduling, earned value analysis, and baseline management.
- Possess knowledge of engineering procurement and construction management (EPCM) to plan and schedule projects from start to finish.
- Update, review, and analyze schedule progress weekly or monthly, providing feedback to the Project Engineer for project forecasting. Incorporate change orders and update project activities and baselines. Attend meetings and provide feedback.
- Prepare inputs for engineering schedules required for project funding submissions and approvals.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting critical deadlines and requirements.
- Consult with the Engineering Manager and team on schedule progress and workflow improvements.
- Assist in training and educating team members on schedule requirements, processes, and inputs, particularly using Cameco scheduling tools.
- Be present at the Saskatoon office regularly, with potential flexibility for partial remote work (e.g., Monday-Thursday in-office, Friday remote). Do not apply if this cannot be met.
Skills / Previous Experience
- At least 5 years of advanced proficiency with MS Project.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Project Controls, Project Management, or Engineering, with preference for candidates familiar with engineering design interactions.
- Experience with other scheduling or project management software like JIRA or Wrike is desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and pay close attention to detail.
Corporate Based Training / Qualification Activities
- Complete ISN training before visiting a Cameco safety-sensitive site in Northern SK.
- Location-specific site orientation.
- Surface or underground pre-access training, including substance testing.
