About the Role

A senior-level Hardware Integration Engineer is sought to lead the design, development, and integration of embedded electronic systems for hybrid eVTOL aircraft. This role will provide technical authority on hardware platforms that support flight safety, propulsion, and control systems, ensuring robust and certifiable solutions.

What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, and test embedded hardware systems for avionics, propulsion, and safety-critical applications.
  • Define and manage hardware requirements, interface specifications, and system-level integration plans.
  • Select and evaluate components, including processors, sensors, and power electronics, for aerospace-grade performance and reliability.
  • Develop PCB schematics, layouts, and prototypes using EDA tools.
  • Collaborate with embedded software engineers to define hardware/software interfaces and integration strategies.
  • Support environmental, EMI/EMC, and safety testing to meet aerospace certification standards.
  • Document designs, analysis, and test results for regulatory compliance (FAA, EASA, TCCA).
  • Drive continuous improvement in hardware development processes, focusing on safety, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in embedded hardware and avionics systems.
What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in embedded hardware design and integration, ideally within aerospace or automotive industries.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics, communication protocols (CAN, ARINC 429, Ethernet, UART, SPI, I²C), and power electronics.
  • Expertise in mixed‑signal circuit design, PCB layout, and embedded processor architectures.
  • Familiarity with eVTOL certification regulations (TCCA, FAA, EASA).
  • Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and balance competing technical requirements.
  • Hands‑on experience with hardware verification and validation in bench and system‑level environments.
