Expected Salary Range: $96,411 – $128,547 Annually
Target Variable Performance Pay: 8%
The salary range shown above reflects the expected compensation for this position. The final salary offered will be determined based on a holistic assessment of the candidate’s experience, education, training, and alignment with the role’s requirements. For positions covered by a collective agreement, placement within the range will follow the applicable step or classification.

As an Engineer at Toronto Hydro, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing innovative solutions across various aspects of utility operations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design, construction, and maintenance of critical infrastructure and systems. You'll work on projects aimed at optimizing energy distribution, improving grid resilience and enhancing overall operational efficiency.

Reporting to a Manager, the incumbent provides a wide range of technical services for internal and external customers, which confirm technical soundness, reliability, safety and cost effectiveness of the utility. An Engineer is accountable and legally responsible to prepare, review and sign/stamp engineering drawings, calculations, standards, technical specifications etc.
The incumbent participates in short and long-term strategic planning on technical matters; prepares engineering reports and studies; performs analysis and evaluations; provides timely technical support/consultation, project management and testing; develops proposals and plans; prepares and/or reviews methods, procedures (process re‑engineering), and designs.
The incumbent is expected to behave ethically and follow the established code of business conduct, policies and internal control procedures, laws and regulations governing Toronto Hydro.

This position is based in a hybrid environment allowing for remote work two days per week, based on business needs. Employees will be required to come onsite Tuesday to Thursday. You are expected to live in Ontario and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
