Applications are invited for the position of Electronic Technician within the City of North Bay’s Infrastructure and Operations Division. Under the direction of the Fleet Manager or designate, the Electronic Technician will provide specialized support for electronic devices used in the Fleet garage, OEM diagnostic equipment, vehicle auxiliary equipment, including Transit ITS, camera systems, telematics, diagnostics, troubleshooting, optimization, farebox, security, passenger counters, sign boards and other systems. The Electronic Technician will support the Fleet garage operations and Fleet Management Information System, including integrations & optimizations from vehicle various software programs to assist in strategic repairs and data‑informed business decisions on fleet assets. This role will assist in monitoring dashboards to summarize insights from vehicle systems and provide predictive analytics for improved maintenance practices. This position will be required to support new developments for device integrations, installation of specialized equipment, collaborate and program automated strategies using OEM vehicle systems.

Our Total Compensation plan for 2025 includes rates that start at $32.08 including shift premiums plus Union negotiated increases to base wages in each of the following years:
