A leading provider of ocean-sensing solutions in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, is seeking an Electromechanical Technician. In this role, you will assemble and test high-quality products, follow processes, and actively contribute to team performance and product excellence. Ideal candidates enjoy craftsmanship and are dedicated to continuous improvement in a collaborative work environment.
The Electromechanical Technician is a hands‑on, detail-focused role dedicated to assembling, testing, and improving the quality of AML’s Moving Vessel Profiler product line. The ideal candidate is a skilled technician who takes ownership of their work, learns from mistakes, and contributes meaningfully to team performance and product excellence.
With proven experience in both mechanical and electrical assembly, this person will play a critical role in delivering reliable builds, testing, troubleshooting, and driving improvements in build quality, safety, and workflow. The best match for this position is someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, follows processes with precision, and consistently finds ways to make things better, both in the product and the production environment.
“Build it and better it—by assembling high-quality products, improving processes, and learning from every build.”
At AML, we’re always on the hunt for passionate team players who want to make a difference. AMLers commit their hands, their heads, and their hearts to their position. There are no sidelines. AMLers cite five main reasons as to why they choose us: our culture, the people, our growth trajectory, transparency, and workplace flexibility.
AML designs and manufactures ocean‑sensing solutions—sensors, instrumentation, and deployment systems—for customers on all seven continents. We have a market reputation for going to the ends of the earth to make our customers successful, enabling them to focus on oceanography, not the equipment.
As a hi‑tech manufacturing business, our technical team includes experts and engineers with experience in the acoustic, mechanical, electrical, software, and embedded software domains. We operate from locations at either end of Canada.
Company culture is paramount, and we’re looking for like-minded individuals to join our team.
