Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Electrical Technician to join our Product Development and Automation team. In this role, you will help bring innovative automation and product development projects to life. If you love solving complex problems, working with your hands, and collaborating with engineers, this is the job for you.

Responsibilities
  • Design, assemble, and troubleshoot industrial electrical control panels in compliance with UL/CSA standards.
  • Build and wire motor control cabinets and automation enclosures.
  • Perform detailed wiring, terminations, and harness assembly for complex equipment.
  • Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate builds.
  • Select and integrate components such as PLCs, sensors, relays, and drives.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and control system faults (in-house and on-site).
  • Commission equipment and provide professional field service support to customers.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on production and R&D systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and labeling for all system components.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in electrical panel assembly, machine wiring, or industrial equipment maintenance.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic and configuration tools (Windows-based).
  • Familiarity with Siemens or Allen-Bradley automation systems (asset).
  • Skilled in using electrical test instruments and precision mechanical tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks Electrical or other electrical CAD software (asset).
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for installation and support.
