Irving Tissue is looking for an Electrical & Instrumentation Tradesperson in Saint John, NB.

Qualifications
  • Industrial Controls Technology Diploma, or an Industrial Electrical Journeyman license, or an Instrumentation Journeyman License.
  • Self-motivationand have a strong personal drive.
  • Knowledge of distributed control systems, Rockwell programmable logic controls, variable speed drives (stand alone and coordinated paper machine applications)
  • Working knowledge of high voltage switchgear, transformers and system protection as well as computer experience
  • Knowledge of Factory Talk and process networks would be an asset.
  • Previous experience in a similar industry would be an asset.
Responsibilities

As an Electrical & Instrumentation Tradesperson you will perform all aspects of electrical and instrumentation maintenance and repairs at the tissue mill. As well you will perform the required troubleshooting, programming and research to maintain and improve existing distributed controls, programmable controls, mill process controls and electrical distribution systems. You will assist in continuous improvement through instrument tuning and system program changes. On call coverage and shift work may be required.
