Overview

Electrical Field Technician - Kelowna, British Columbia

UNITEC is an international group specialized in designing and manufacturing innovative solutions for sorting, processing, packing and selecting the quality of fresh fruits and vegetables. For our branch in Kelowna, British Columbia we are looking for an Electrical Field Technician to provide primary support and service onsite. You will also be responsible for the onsite assembly, installation, testing and maintenance of automatic processing lines, specifically cabling and wiring. This role involves travel within Canada and occasional trips to the USA. Hands-on training and support will be provided by experienced colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Installation, assembly, testing, maintenance and repair of automatic processing lines, focusing on cabling and wiring.
  • Provide onsite service and primary support for customers.
  • Act as a link between the field and the Headquarters service team, collecting and providing feedback from the market.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences through effective communication and support.
Job Requirements
  • Electrical and / or electronics experience and knowledge.
  • Familiarity with related tools (wiring, electronic workbench, use of computers, etc.).
  • Cabling, wiring, usage of power / hand tools and the installation of machinery.
  • Must be willing to travel across Canada and occasionally to the USA.
  • Must be willing to work with a flexible schedule, on-call and overtime.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Reliability, flexibility and precision.
