The Opportunity

WSP is currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician/ Electrical Drafter to join our Power Delivery Team, based in Toronto. Our Power Delivery team is directly involved with a multitude of different project types, ranging from High Voltage substations, Medium Voltage substations and Utility connections.

  • Develop and prepare electrical drawings, including single line diagram, schematics and connection diagrams for a variety of clients
  • AutoCAD drawing preparation
  • Conduct quality control checks of design drawings
  • Ability to conduct site visits for review of electrical work is an asset
  • Ability to carry out contract administration during construction is an asset
  • Other duties as assigned
What you’ll bring to WSP
  • Graduate of Electrical Engineering Technology or equal with relevant experience, 2 to 5 years experience
  • AutoCAD proficiency is an asset
  • Meticulous attention to detail essential
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritizing and time management skills
  • Willingness to work overtime when required
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities essential
