  • Work collaboratively with engineers, designers and drafters in the preparation of deliverables to BBA and client standards
  • Assist in the preparation of design deliverables under the supervision of the project engineers.
  • Assist in calculations and studies
  • Assist in site inspections, testing and commissioning at client sites
Overview of certifications and job requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university
  • Member in good standing with EGBC and registered as an EIT
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in engineering
  • Familiarity with reading and preparing electrical schematics of various types (single lines, three lines, and interconnection drawings)
  • Knowledge of MS Office and other database applications
  • Basic knowledge of HV/MV/LV apparatus and safety in electrical installations
  • Strong communication (verbal and written in English), interpersonal, and relationship‑building skills
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Able to travel to customer sites and other BBA offices within Canada, the USA, and international destinations for project short‑term assignments, such as site meetings, field reviews, site assessments, tests, etc.
  • Knowledge of power systems (HV, MV, LV)
  • Knowledge of electrical study software such as PSCAD, PSSE, CYME, PSSE, and EMTP‑RV
  • Bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written, ability to draft technical documents in both languages
