Our client is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to join their team in Mount Pearl, NL.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop printed circuit boards (PCBs) for electronic systems with a focus on functionality, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Create wiring harnesses and cable assemblies while considering signal integrity, thermal management, and EMC / EMI compliance.
  • Contribute to system architecture development and integrate electrical components into complex systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams - including mechanical, firmware, and CAD engineers, as well as product designers - to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Assist in developing and executing test plans and procedures; conduct validation to ensure electrical system reliability and performance.
  • Participate in design reviews and engineering deliverables assessments.
  • Provide technical support to the Production department during manufacturing.
  • Support field operations by understanding and responding to project requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Foundational knowledge of PCB design and testing methodologies.
  • Ability to manage detailed design work while maintaining awareness of broader project goals.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience reviewing and designing PCB fabrication and assembly drawings.
