Electrical and Electronics Design Technologist
Location: Brantford, ON
Work location: On site
Salary: $36.00 per hour, 32 to 40 hours per week
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time
Starts as soon as possible
Responsibilities
- Design and develop power equipment and systems
- Install equipment
- Interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation
- Maintain equipment
- Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements
- Service equipment
- Supervise the building and testing of prototypes
- Test power equipment and systems
- Assist in design, development and testing
- Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports
- Write specifications
- Assist in inspecting, testing and adjusting electronic components
- Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments
- Conduct safety training programs
- Assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications
- Collect and compile operational or experimental data
- Carry out applied research in electrical and electronic engineering and physics
- Conduct or supervise installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems
- Set up and operate test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems
- Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
- Languages: English
