Mount Hope Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care - London, ON Temporary Full Time Salary Range: $49.02 - $57.68 /hour

Mount Hope Centre for Long-Term Care is seeking a Clinical Educator to support excellence in resident centered care within a shared leadership environment. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role will work in partnership with the leadership team to support staff development and practice excellence in long-term care. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of long-term care, can facilitate clinical problem solving and role model effective interpersonal relationship skills. The Staff Educator will provide educational support (including orientation and ongoing education) to staff and students, as well as support program development, policy review/development, research and quality initiatives and change management.

Essential Qualifications
  • Member of a regulated health profession with a minimum of a bachelor's degree; current registration with their college
  • Experience working in a Long-Term Care environment
  • Experience in an Electronic Health Record/Documentation environment
  • Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
  • Demonstrated understanding of Adult Learning Principles, excellence in assessing learning needs and in the design and delivery of diverse learning strategies addressing multiple learning styles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience providing effective, outcome focused coaching to individuals and groups (e.g. experience as a preceptor)
  • Demonstrates expert critical thinking and problem solving
  • Strong organizational, consultation and negotiation skills
  • Evidence of continuous learning and use of literature in clinical practice
  • Demonstrated computer skills including excel, word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience in supporting colleagues to manage change effectively
  • Excellence in managing multiple projects
  • Proven leadership abilities, initiative and self-directedness
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in French would be an asset
  • Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) Instructor

  • St. Joseph's Health Care London through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College is a leading research and teaching hospital. As an employee of St. Joseph's you will be expected to engage in role related teaching and research activities in addition to any of your clinical duties
Immunization Requirements
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19 and influenza.
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
