Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced eCommerce Developer (Back-End) with deep expertise in the Salesforce ecosystem to support and enhance enterprise digital commerce platforms. The primary focus is Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), with additional integration work across Salesforce Core (Sales/Service Cloud) and exposure to Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This role requires hands‑on backend development experience building scalable commerce solutions, APIs, and third‑party integrations within a hybrid work environment in Toronto.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain backend functionality within Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFRA/SiteGenesis).
  • Design and implement integrations between Commerce Cloud and Salesforce Core (Sales/Service Cloud).
  • Support commerce data flows and campaign integrations involving Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Build and maintain APIs and backend services supporting catalog, cart, checkout, pricing, promotions, order management, and customer data.
  • Develop integrations with third‑party systems including payments, OMS, ERP, CRM, and tax/shipping providers.
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and security across the commerce stack.
  • Collaborate with frontend, QA, DevOps, and marketing teams to deliver high‑quality releases.
  • Support CI/CD processes and structured release cycles.
Required Qualifications

Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Primary Requirement)

  • Strong hands‑on development experience in SFCC (SFRA/SiteGenesis).
  • Experience developing backend logic, custom cartridges, APIs, and integrations.
  • Deep understanding of commerce flows including catalog, promotions, checkout, and pricing.
Salesforce Core (Sales/Service Cloud)
  • Experience integrating commerce data with Salesforce CRM environments.
  • Knowledge of Apex, REST/SOAP APIs, data models, and platform integrations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to Salesforce Marketing Cloud integrations (customer journeys, triggers, campaign data flows).
  • Understanding of commerce‑to‑marketing automation data pipelines.
  • Experience with Shopify Plus.
  • Experience with Amplience (headless CMS).
  • API‑first / headless commerce architecture experience.
  • Node.js or server‑side JavaScript.
  • Experience with CI/CD, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and microservices.
