Job summary

A child care organization in Toronto is seeking an Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) to support the RECE in planning activities for children from infants to school age. Compensation Package: Palisades offers a valuable compensation package:

  • Base pay for an ECA will be $19.98 plus $2.00 PWE, totaling $21.98; depending on experience the rate of pay may change

Duties & Responsibilities
  • The primary responsibility of the Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) is to support the RECE in planning and implementing a program and daily activities
  • Works cooperatively as a team member, encourages others to do likewise, and consistently maintains a positive attitude
  • Report any issues or concerns that may arise in accordance with proper procedures
  • Supports the direction and participates with children in all planned activities
  • Use well‑developed interpersonal, and relationship‑building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff, and parents
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the classroom
