Join our Prairies & North Earth & Environment team and help shape projects that safeguard communities, support resilient infrastructure, and expand what’s possible in applied near‑surface geophysics. In this role, you’ll work hands‑on across diverse terrains, on land, across water, and in boreholes, to generate the subsurface insights our clients rely on to plan, protect, and build for tomorrow.

Your Impact

  • Conduct geophysical field investigations using seismic refraction, MASW, ERI, GPR, magnetics, microgravity, and electromagnetic methods to support major environmental and engineering programs.
  • Deploy, operate, and maintain specialized geophysical equipment to acquire high‑quality data in a variety of field conditions.
  • Apply data processing workflows to generate clear, accurate interpretations that inform design decisions and risk assessments.
  • Capture field data efficiently and reliably, ensuring strong data integrity for multidisciplinary teams across the region.
  • Uphold rigorous safety standards and contribute to a culture of care and responsibility on every project.
  • Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and technical specialists to deliver solutions that strengthen infrastructure, protect resources, and support communities across the Prairies & North.

  • A degree in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, Geological Engineering, or a related discipline with geophysics focus.
  • 0–3 years of hands‑on experience applying near‑surface geophysical methods in engineering or environmental contexts.
  • Practical experience with two or more methods—such as seismic refraction, MASW, ERI, GPR, borehole logging, or electromagnetics.
  • Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods, often in remote or challenging environments, with frequent travel (50–100%).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence working with electronics, field instruments, and digital data systems.
  • A mindset rooted in curiosity, problem‑solving, and continuous improvement—you care about doing work that matters.

Compensation

  • AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $56,500 – $75,900
  • MB & ON: $51,600 – $72,000
  • NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $51,100 – $68,800
