Job description

The Dual-Rate Security Supervisor is responsible for the safety of customers, employees, and property. The Dual-Rate Security Supervisor understands the role of an ambassador and provides positive experiences to all customers. This position requires developed social skills, supervisory, diplomacy, and negotiating skills

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the overall security of the casino facility, casino employees, and volunteer workers
  • Execute assigned duties in a positive and professional manner in accordance with AGLC regulations
  • Ensuring that all monies and chips are safeguarded in accordance with AGLC
  • Arming and disarming alarm systems as required
  • Assuring guards remain at their assigned post until relieved or otherwise directed by the Security Supervisor
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and friendly service to patrons and to fellow employees
  • Compiling written reports on all incidents or reviewing those completed by guards and signing off on them
  • Liaison with and provide assistance to local police service
  • Conduct preventative patrols and enforce casino policy
  • Work with games managers to provide staff and patron safety
  • Ensure ATMs and NRTs are locked up at close
  • Knowledge of property fire regulations, fire doors, and power outage duties
  • Relieve Monitor Room when required
  • Cover Security Supervisor shifts in the event that a Full-Time Security Supervisor is unable to work (ex: Vacation, sickness, etc.)

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of security guard experience
  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset
  • Strong employee relation skills and abilities
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word is an asset
  • Able to meet tight deadlines while maintaining organization and detail
  • Highly motivated and team orientated
  • Possess a highly developed attention to detail
  • Proficient in English verbal and written communication
  • AGLC ProTect
  • AGLC Deal Us In Phase 1 (Phase 2 an asset)
  • Gaming Worker Registration is an asset
  • Security Services and Investigators License an asset
  • Lift and carry over 50lbs
  • Requires open availability
  • Requires the ability to work or Supervise on all/any scheduled shifts; both days and nights.

Casino Security functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day. All leaders and associates must realize this fact and be aware that at times it may be necessary to move from an accustomed shift as business demands. In addition, it is understood that business determines the number of hours worked and that some weeks as leaders we may be scheduled to work fewer than forty-four (44) hours, and on other weeks we may be scheduled to work more than forty-four (44) hours per week.
