A regional agricultural cooperative is seeking an Anhydrous Ammonia Driver to safely deliver products to customers. The role requires a valid Class 3Q license, at least 2 years of driving experience, and strong commitment to safety. Responsibilities include vehicle maintenance, completing logs, and effectively communicating with customers. Candidates should have knowledge of NH3, customer service skills, and the ability to adapt to technology. This position may require working in various weather conditions and lifting heavy loads.
Reporting to the Agribusiness Manager, the Anhydrous Ammonia (NH3) Driver will be responsible for the safe operation of the vehicle and its features while delivering Anhydrous Ammonia and other Agro products to customers, undertake general maintenance on trucks, filling out daily logs, completing pre-trip inspections, and reporting any discrepancies directly to the Agribusiness Manager. The incumbent is expected to adhere to South Country Co-op policies and procedures and always practice safe handling procedures of product and equipment. The Driver (NH3) will also be expected to communicate sales and promotion programs to customers, maintain a professional representation of South Country Co-op, and adhere to South Country Co-op’s safety policies.
Candidates must possess a valid minimum Class 3Q or higher driver’s license and must provide a clean driving abstract. Candidates must possess 2 years of relevant driving experience (hauling NH3 driving Class 3Q or higher). Must be able to work well unsupervised. Knowledge of NH3 and Agro products and mechanical ability would be an asset.
