Job Description

• Load and unload different types of freight from/to different trailers or stage it on the dock using our electronic handheld device
• Housekeeping duties
• Use handheld device to note any exceptions - shortages/overages/damages/no bills
• Cube and/or reweigh freight as necessary using Dimensioner machine or manually when required.
• Assist co-workers and drivers in loading, unloading or finding freight
• Start heaters, placard trailers as required
• Load freight in specified sequence for maximum usage of trailer space and take pictures per procedure.
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

• Must have a MINIMUM of 2 years of forklift experience
• Must be punctual and have good attendance
• Cross-dock experience preferred
• Able to perform under pressure with tight deadlines
• Able to lift 50 lbs, sometimes repetitive
• Ability to multitask and manage various tasks successfully
• Developed problem-solving, critical thinking, decision-making, and judgment skills
