Job description

Voyago is hiring a Full-Time Dispatcher/Driver in our Kitchener Schools office!

Your Role

Coordinate and assign daily school routes to ensure safe, timely, and efficient service. Act as the communication hub between drivers, monitors, and supervisors to resolve on-the-road issues quickly. Monitor vehicle locations in real-time and relay critical updates to drivers. Respond to incoming calls and inquiries related to student transportation. Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including attendance, absences, delays, and route changes. Ensure all runs and drivers are accounted for and on schedule so no students are left behind. Prepare and manage reports as directed by the Dispatch Supervisor. Assist with scheduling and tracking vehicle maintenance as needed. Cover a school route when needed or assist with vehicle switch outs.

Your Qualifications
  • You have dispatch experience in the transportation or service industry, or equivalent education
  • You are able to use a radio to listen, respond, and communicate effectively with drivers while they are en route
  • You have excellent time management and stress management skills
  • You are a skilled multi-tasker who can prioritize multiple urgent and important tasks
  • You take initiative to solve problems and seek out the information needed to do so
  • You are able to accurately follow procedures to meet both corporate and legal requirements
  • You have a strong track record of providing excellent customer service
  • You possess intermediate to advanced verbal and written communication skills (B2 to C1 level or equivalent)
  • You are computer literate with proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel
  • You have a clear understanding of the transportation industry
  • You are willing to upgrade your G class licence to a B class licence (all upgrade training provided by Voyago!)
  • You are able to work Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

This position is 100% in office located at 599 Wabanaki Drive Kitchener, ON

Hourly Rate

The rate for this position is $21.70 per hour with benefits after 3 months. Rate will increase by $1.00 once fully upgraded to a B class licence
