Job description

Overview

Within a large international trucking transport company, work at obtaining large oversize permits for loads moving to and from the USA and within Canada. This includes planning, organizing, evaluating, and executing all tasks on a day-to-day basis.

These tasks / duties include but are not limited to :

Responsibilities

• Contact all states and provinces to arrange and obtain permits required for the movement of oversized loads for a fleet of around 30 trucks, using all avenues of communication.
• Arrange for these permits in a timely fashion so as not to delay the shipment of the load.
• Assist in following policies and standards including safety procedures for handling of goods being transported and ensure compliance with transport regulations.

Skills

• Good to excellent computer skills; Word and Excel are a must. A bonus would be PowerPoint, good typing skills, and experience with AXON.
• Excellent people skills both in person and on the phone.
• Presentation skills both one on one and to a group.

Experience

Any experience within a trucking company or previous experience with these types of permits. Working with computers in relation to online transportation services. Much of this job is spent working on a computer, so any additional computer skills would be a definite asset.

Wage will depend on experience.
