We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director, Treasury to join our Finance and Strategy team. Reporting to the Senior Vice-President, Finance and Strategy, this senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing all treasury, financing, insurance, and financial compliance functions within Canpotex. The Director will lead a high-performing team, establish and implement financing strategies, manage corporate liquidity and cash flow, execute producer payments, and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
Commercial Leadership : Understands the business environment and uses financial expertise to create value and competitive advantages. Connects treasury and insurance strategies with Canpotex’s commercial objectives and risk appetite. Demonstrates resilience, professionalism, and ethical decision making.
Leadership and People Development : Inspires, motivates, and develops a high-performing team to deliver on organizational priorities.
Business Insight : Anticipates market, banking, insurance and credit trends to proactively manage risk. Sees beyond immediate issues to create sustainable financial and insurance solutions.
Financial Acumen : Applies deep expertise in treasury, finance and capital markets to drive value creation.
Decision Quality and Analytical Thinking : Makes well-informed, timely, and forward-looking commercial decisions grounded in strong analysis. Builds complex decision support through financial models, business analytics and scenario planning.
Collaboration and Influence : Builds strong relationships and aligns diverse stakeholders and business partners to deliver results. Builds trust with internal leaders, ensuring financial and insurance strategies align across departments.
