Overview
What You’ll Be Doing
As the Director, Regulatory Management and Audit Support, you will lead and mature the regulatory management and audit support program within CIBC Enterprise Technology. This role is responsible for managing the relationship with OSFI, through Global Regulatory Affairs, on behalf of Technology, driving process reengineering to enhance and streamline regulatory and audit processes, and collecting and reviewing information for Board reporting. You will serve as a strategic partner to Technology leadership, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational excellence. The role must effectively engage across all of these teams to support effective governance. You are expected to pursue continuous improvements to the function and guide our overall approach to managing risk for our partners and with our stakeholders.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How You’ll Succeed
- Relationship Building – A key attribute you will have will be your ability to effectively interact and build relationships internally and externally to CIBC. You will be a point of contact for internal governance stakeholders across Technology globally. When issues are identified, obtaining buy-in to close these issues is challenging and requires strong relationship management skills to be successful
- Creative Thinking – You will think differently, see opportunities where challenges appear to exist, you think like a business owner and care about the return on investment of the activities and effort of your team and the organization
- You Have a Vision – You can see ahead, you research what is happening in your discipline, you are curious, you look to predict themes and trends and plan for what could be.
