Role Summary

Reporting to Emera’s Vice President of Corporate Human Resources, the Director, Talent Management and Analytics plays a central role in shaping how the organization develops and supports its people across all Emera entities. They lead the design and delivery of Emera’s enterprise approach to learning, succession, engagement, performance management, leadership competencies, and people analytics, advancing an inclusive and high performing culture across the company.

A key contributor to Emera’s long‑term success, the Director guides talent practices that strengthen leadership capability, enable thoughtful, data‑informed decision making and ensures talent solutions are practical, scalable, and responsive to the needs of HR partners and business leaders.

The Director brings a blend of business acumen, strategic HR leadership, and analytical rigor to create talent programs and systems that equip leaders and employees with the skills and development opportunities needed for current priorities and future growth. This work supports Emera’s purpose of energizing modern life and contributing to a cleaner energy future.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a proven HR leader with demonstrated experience in complex, operational environments where talent, learning, and culture programs align across multiple business units or companies. They bring expertise across the functional areas central to the role, including learning and leadership development, succession planning, engagement, performance management, and people analytics.

The Director is a people‑focused leader who develops and supports managers, builds cohesive and effective teams, and influences change through strong relationships, clear communication, and sound judgment. Known for collaborating with HR and business leaders to create practical, scalable solutions, the ideal candidate combines strategic insight with analytical rigor and a commitment to integrity and authenticity.
