We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Sales and Marketing to join our team. This is a high-impact leadership role that combines innovation, team development, and market expansion. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and executing sales strategies, exploring new business opportunities, and driving sustainable growth.

As a member of the Senior Management Team, the Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for leading a team to achieve the company’s sales objectives. The role is accountable for developing business in new markets/segments, and sustaining relationships with existing customers and channel partners.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, lead, and execute long-term and short-term sales strategies to accelerate business growth for all divisions.
  • Develop pricing and marketing strategies for high-profile customers and channel partners.
  • Create the annual Sales and Marketing plan and lead the team to execute these plans.
  • Manage the overall sales process, set appropriate sales targets and metrics.
  • Maintain key customer relationships and develop strategies to expand the customer base.
  • Provide coaching and leadership to all direct reports to drive growth and profitability.
  • Explore new markets that align with the company's growth strategy.
  • Identify adjacent markets, services, and products for development into revenue streams.
  • Set and manage the annual sales budget in collaboration with the Financial Manager and Operations Directors.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree; EMBA / MBA considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 10 years of executive sales experience, including at least 5 years in a senior management role.
  • Proven ability to increase margins through strategic pricing and product mix management.
  • Strong planning, management, and execution skills at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Established contacts and relationships with potential customers and channel partners.
  • Outstanding sales abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive-level clients and partners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively to foster a result-driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, primarily in the Maritimes, Ontario, Quebec, and North-Eastern US.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
  • Strong critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong coaching skills, comfortable with giving and receiving feedback at senior levels.
  • Proficiency with technology tools such as CRM, TMS, Excel, etc.
