About this role

We are recruiting for a Director, Project Planning Services. Here's how your role will strengthen our team.

This role is responsible for driving excellence in construction pre‑planning and execution, fostering a culture of safety and inclusion, and optimizing business practices to support organizational growth. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in project planning, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

This position can be based out of one of our BC offices: Kelowna, Burnaby, or Victoria
Your responsibilities
  • Lead a culture of safety, collaboration, and respect, while fostering an inclusive and high‑performance environment
  • Oversee construction pre‑planning activities, including BIM, VDC, and Revizto workflows, ensuring standardisation of processes, tools, and consistency and efficiency in deliverables
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align departmental goals with organisational strategy
  • Continuously evaluate and optimise internal business practices to improve productivity and quality
  • Lead strategic initiatives that enhance pre‑planning and execution
  • Manage departmental and project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and accurate forecasting
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and industry representative
  • Drive strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts to optimise business practices and expand market presence
Your experience and skills
  • Minimum 10 years of previous experience in construction, or a related industry
  • P.Eng., PMP Certification, Gold Seal in Project Management, Project Management Certificate, or equivalent education is ideal
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional teams and driving strategic initiatives
  • Sophisticated knowledge of construction pre‑planning
  • Strong understanding of BIM, VDC, and project planning technologies
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Deep understanding of construction industry trends, technologies, and best practices

Salary range: $155,000 - $180,000 per year plus a competitive total compensation package.
