Overview

Zeeland Public Schools has a wonderful opportunity available for a Director of ZKids and Summer Camp. The Director of ZKids and Summer Camp will provide leadership for the before and after school program and summer camp program following required laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and evaluate staff.
  • Organize and conduct regular meetings with staff and parents.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate center policies and program.
  • Administer day-to-day operations including being available to address parent, child, and staff issues.
  • Perform health related functions as required by law.
  • Insure licensing requirements are met at all times.
  • Order supplies for site.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.
Qualifications
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Per state license requirement, must be present at all hours listed above.
  • CDA or 60 hours of college credit; both require 18 hours in early childhood education, two of which must be childcare administration.
  • Experience and a desire to work with children and the ability to supervise adults.
  • Excellent written and oral communication / interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with parents and staff.
  • Complete 16 clock hours of annual training, in addition to CPR, first aid, and blood borne pathogen training.
  • Must be cooperative, dependable, positive and enthusiastic.
  • The ability to handle confidential / sensitive information is required.
Schedule

Before and after school program hours are 6:30 am – 8:30 am and 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm during the school year. Summer camp program hours are 6:30 am – 6:00 pm. Additional hours required for planning and preparation.
