Overview

We are seeking a strategic and transformative leader for our Director of Strategy, Commercial Core Banking and Payments role. You will be a central leader within the COO organization, working closely with technology and business executives to define and drive our AI and emerging technology strategic vision, address complex challenges and lead enterprise-wide initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Technology Strategists (1-4) to drive various AI and emerging technology initiatives, including developing technology strategy plans, scope, approach, and roadmaps for CCBPT
  • Lead the development and execution of Technology Strategy for Global Commercial Banking
  • Drive and support transformation, innovation, and enablement of new emerging technologies i.e. Artificial Intelligence Enablement
  • Partner with stakeholders/business leaders to identify and prioritize use cases where AI can drive significant business value, improve decision-making, optimize process and potentially create new revenue streams
  • Establish and leading the Transformation and Strategic PMO office to define, monitor, and report on strategic initiatives, goals, metrics, and KPIs across all programs in CCBPT
  • Collaborate with senior executives and leaders to provide subject matter expertise and act as a strategic advisor
  • Develop executive-level materials for senior executives, C-suite, and Board
  • Lead executive meetings and strategic offsites, creating content and engaging external subject matter experts and consulting firms
  • Drive thought leadership and benchmarking in various technology topics and trends
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years proven experience leading strategic planning, development and implementation within a complex financial services organization. Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing AI/ML strategies and solutions at an enterprise level in a banking/brokerage firm
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. The ability to influence, negotiate and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Understanding of ethical implications of AI, potential biases, data privacy and regulatory compliance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize information and develop actionable strategies
  • Proficiency in strategic frameworks, tools, and methodologies
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Exceptional PowerPoint and related presentation skills with the ability to create clear, compelling and visually engaging materials to support strategic communication
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Strategy, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
