Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Director of Operations at Framar located in Niagara Falls, ON. We are looking for a highly experienced, hands-on, and organized Director of Operations to lead and optimize our global supply chain and logistics and fulfillment operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless movement of goods across our wholesale and eCommerce channels. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex 3PL relationships, a strong understanding of inventory flow across multiple marketplaces and regions, launching new warehouse operations, and driving operational excellence across international markets.

This position will oversee the existing Canadian warehouse, 3PL warehouses in Holland (wholesale), China (wholesale), and the United States (eCommerce), and will be responsible for launching new 3PL operations in Europe and the UK (eCommerce), as well as an owned and operated wholesale warehouse in the US.

Responsibilities

Strategic Operations Management

Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company goals for both wholesale and eCommerce channels.

Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.

3PL and Warehouse Management

Oversee day-to-day operations of 3PL partners in Holland, China, and the US and Amazon channels.

Lead the setup and launch of new 3PL warehouses in Europe, the UK, and a new wholesale warehouse in the US.

Negotiate contracts, manage SLAs, and ensure KPIs are met across all logistics partners.

Conduct regular performance reviews and audits of 3PL operations.

  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Service, marketing, and Finance to ensure operational alignment and readiness for promotions, product launches, and seasonal peaks
  • Resolve issues related to order delays, shipping errors, and customer experience breakdowns

Inventory Management

Oversee inventory strategy and accuracy across all channels and 3PL locations.

Ensure healthy stock levels and coordinate inventory reconciliations by collaborating with the demand planning, purchasing, and warehouse teams.

Implement and refine inventory systems, tools, and SOPs to ensure real-time visibility and traceability.

Logistics & Supply Chain Optimization

Ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods from manufacturing to end customers.

Optimize inventory levels across all warehouses to meet demand while minimizing holding costs.

Collaborate with procurement, sales, and customer service teams to forecast demand and align logistics accordingly.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Build and manage a high-performing operations team as company scales

Work closely with finance, marketing, and product teams to align operational capabilities with business needs.

Provide regular updates and reports to executive leadership.

Project Management

Lead the planning and execution of new warehouse launches, including site selection, onboarding, and integration with internal systems.

Manage timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication for all operational projects.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards.

Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain and logistics processes.

Staff Hiring & Management

Hire, train, and manage staff to help assist with operations

Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff are well-equipped to meet operational goals.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff supervisors.

Foster a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in a global eCommerce and wholesale environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management
  • Proven experience managing 3PL relationships and launching new warehouse operations.
  • Occasional travel to 3PL warehouses
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and implement new operational processes with efficiency and clarity.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities.
  • Experience with ERP and logistics software systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a global footprint.
  • Experience in the beauty or retail industry is a plus
