Director, Ecommerce & Paid Media - Ville-St-Laurent (Office first)

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief, Digital, Marketing & Customer Experience, the Director, eCommerce & Paid Media is tasked with driving Psycho Bunny direct sales and Customer Lifetime Value from its eCommerce sites and Marketplaces, as well as optimizing the company’s investment in Paid Media. For both of these portfolios, the Director will develop and implement cross-functional growth strategies as well as lead day-to-day team activities. Key to success will be an ability to balance data-driven strategic thinking with pragmatic operational decision-making, as well as an expertise in leveraging technology to support business goals.

Your daily adventure

Strategy Leadership
  • Develop a strategic vision and associated initiative roadmap for assigned areas of responsibility
  • Drive development and implementation of relevant A / B Testing frameworks
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, and disseminate across teams as needed
  • Elevate personalization of the customer experience across all touchpoints
  • Ensure balance between commercial and brand equity goals across customer touchpoints
  • Refine Reporting to measure key KPIs and track progress, including metrics measuring
Omnichannel impact
  • Partner cross-functionally and externally to drive insight into the Psycho Bunny Cost of Acquisition (CAC) and ROI by channel, and optimize our Media Mix accordingly
  • Partner cross-functionally to develop robust sales forecasting approaches for website and marketplace sales
  • Represent Psycho Bunny progress and achievements in the eCommerce and Paid Media space externally as needed
Supporting Technology
  • Serve as “Business Owner” of Technology supporting areas of responsibility
  • Collaborate closely with Technology teams (both internal and external) to define, plan and build the right platforms and features to support eCommerce and Paid Media activities
  • Develop business cases as needed to support new technology investment
Management of eCommerce sites and Marketplaces
  • Orchestrate day-to-day operations to achieve eCommerce and Marketplace sales goals
  • Increase the sophistication of our digital selling tactics, including our approaches to site merchandising, content calendaring, UX, site speed, SEO and conversion optimization
  • Establish a multi-market strategy and operational approach, driving international sales growth from our eCommerce and Marketplaces
Management of Paid Media portfolio
  • Lead the strategic development and execution of the Paid Media portfolio (e.g., Paid Search, Display, Retargeting, Affiliates, Paid Social), developing cost-effective demand initiatives that balance customer acquisition, brand awareness, customer lifetime value
  • Own external Media agency and vendor relationships, with periodic evaluation of “build vs. buy” costs and benefits
  • Manage the Paid Media budget, partnering cross-functionally with teams such as Technology and Creative, for the management of vendors
Team Management
  • Build and coach high-performing eCommerce and Paid Media teams
  • Develop paths for professional development of the eCommerce and Paid Media teams, including enhancement of leadership skills and analytical / technical capabilities
  • Report on plans and progress, including to the Board and in large forums, expanding visibility and understanding of opportunities and achievements
Your Toolkit
  • 5 years in a similar role and a minimum of 8 years or pertinent experience
  • University degree in Business, Marketing or any other relevant field
  • In-depth knowledge of the eCommerce and Marketing Technology stack, with insight into the latest technology trends and developments
  • Fluency in both English and French (verbal & written)
  • Experience working with Apparel Retailers or Brands a plus
