A community support organization in Petrolia is seeking a full-time Direct Support Coordinator to provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities. We are currently hiring a contract full-time Direct Support Coordinator for our John Street program in Watford, Ontario.
Direct Support Coordinators make a difference in people's lives by providing support to people with developmental disabilities in all activities of daily living in their homes and the community and by fostering independence and personal growth. In conjunction with the person, their team and family/friends, Direct Support Coordinators are responsible for planning and overseeing provision of support, along with creating skill development opportunities for people supported in aspiration to reach their life goals.
Successful candidates will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to person-directed, person-centered support. They will value each person's unique strengths, preferences, culture, and goals, and actively support individuals to exercise choice and promoting inclusivity.
