JOB SUMMARY: Are you a mature person, with dining room experience, looking for a regular, secure position working with seniors? If so, you would be working Friday - Sunday Hours 11:15 a.m. - 6:15 p.m. and statutory holidays. Based in our bright dining room you will be in a key area that impacts the quality of life for our senior residents – their dining experience.

Responsibilities
- Provide all aspects of service in the dining room, including lunch and dinner, special events, and occasionally tray service in apartments. Prepare and serve food, beverages and accompaniments.
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of food under the direction of the chef or designate.
- Carry out general cleaning duties and routines in the dining room and kitchen, including vacuuming, cleaning up, setting tables, cleaning preparation and service areas, scraping and stacking dishes, and returning them to storage when required.
- Care for equipment, supplies and work areas: clean and safely store equipment, report defective or damaged equipment and furnishings, keep work areas orderly, safe and clean.
- Maintain established cleanliness and sanitation standards required by the Health Department and Dawson Heights.
- Promote and maintain positive communication among staff and residents.
- From time to time, in unusual circumstances, perform other related duties.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: serving – 2 years (preferred).
- Licence / Certification: Food Safe Level 1 (preferred).
- Work Location: In person.
- Ability to commute / relocate: Victoria, BC – reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
