Overview

The Advisor Sales & Marketing Support team is accountable for defining, designing and delivering marketing programs. We help position distinctive value proposition for targeting clients and driving leads, sales and Client engagement. And, we entice and engage independent advisors to choose to place business.

The Advisor Content and Creative team collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to create compelling and effective marketing materials. The Digital Graphic Designer will be responsible for design and development while offering consultation on marketing campaigns that are on-brand and on-strategy. Tactics include but are not limited to designing wireframes and mockups, email campaigns (design and build), campaign landing pages and web forms (design and build), web banners, social media images, interactive PDF’s and video storyboarding and editing.

The candidate in this role is a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative team environment, but can also hold their own while leading, representing, and executing campaign initiatives. The candidate is resilient and has impeccable time-management and organizational skills. The candidate has an owners-mindset towards their work, and can pay close attention to the finest of details, ensuring consistency and technical accuracy during design, build and testing. The candidate must also be well versed in digital design and accessibility best practices and have experience in leading campaign creative and deliverables.

Main accountabilities
  • Research, design and develop digital solutions that have the end user and accessibility best practices top-of-mind.
  • Research, design and present campaign creative concepts to key-stakeholders that can be adapted across various digital assets.
  • Provide design and multimedia consulting on how to best execute on the vision of key digital initiatives for advisors and Clients.
  • Develop, design and execute video projects from end-to-end including consulting, storyboarding, video production, animation, post-production, partnering with agencies, archiving files and managing content update requests.
  • Provide consultation, design and development to wire frames, HTML email campaigns and web landing pages, while keeping the user journey and analytics accounted for.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to create additional value, be proactive with new ideas and creative solutions and share learnings with the rest of the design team.
  • Leverage approved AI tools to improve design efficiencies and optimize cross channel marketing tactics.
  • Lead and / or participate in brainstorming and collaboration sessions with marketing team members and business partners
  • Own design deliverables through internal and external reviews, monitoring it’s progress to ensure timelines are being met
  • Document and define new process enhancements, project documentation, with a strong handle on file version control
  • Support the design team with print related projects when needed.

Capabilities
  • A strong understanding of usability, accessibility, cross-browser compatibilities.
  • Sound knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and Acrobat) on Mac OS.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft tools to design within (Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, Excel) on Mac OS.
  • Experience using AI platforms to enhance and optimize designs and workflows.
  • Video storyboarding, production, subtitles, animation and post-production execution.
  • Responsive digital design and front-end development of landing pages and web forms.
  • Strong HTML email design and coding experience, and understanding how to work creatively and effectively within its limitations.
  • Experience using an HTML email testing platform to effectively preview and debug code (Litmus).
  • Current accessibility standards expertise that applies to design, file structure and coding best practices.
  • Skilled in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Bootstrap as well as CMS integration experience.
  • Willingness to learn and master new programs and technologies as they apply to the position.

Required qualifications
  • Post-secondary education, including completion of a graphic or web design program at a recognized college; or an undergraduate degree in a related discipline.
  • 3 or more years of experience in digital graphic design.
