Hours of Work

The stated hours of work are approximate as schedules are subject to change with the operational needs of the Health Centre. Changes made to hours of work will follow the terms of the applicable collective agreement, company policy and/or legislation.

What You’ll Do
  • The eating disorders Registered Dietitian (RD) provides dietetic services to individuals and families involved with the Outpatient Eating Disorders Program; including the Eating Disorders Day Program.
  • Services will include multidisciplinary assessment and medical nutrition therapy for adults and children in the outpatient service and the children and transitional-age youth who access the day program service and their families.
  • The RD is also responsible for acting as a resource to other team members regarding nutritional care of patients in the outpatient program. She/he will be involved in meal support and must be able to model “normal eating” for patients and families.
  • He/she role models professional and organizational core competencies.
  • He/she will participate in education and training of staff, students (interns) and peers in nutritional management of children, adolescents, and adults with eating disorders as required.
What You’ll Bring
  • Registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
  • Minimum of 2 years of nutrition assessment and education experience with preadolescent, adolescent and adult populations and their families/supports

  • Strong facility at working with computer-based programs for the purposed of charting and keeping workload statistics.
  • Demonstrates awareness of therapeutic issues and techniques and an understanding of working with mental health clients in a mental health environment.
