Responsibilities
Tasks:

  1. Prepare engineering designs and drawings;
  2. Read blueprints to determine work requirements;
  3. Develop and prepare design sketches;
  4. Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates;
  5. Prepare contracts and tenders;
  6. Write technical reports;
  7. Write specifications;
  8. Estimate costs and materials;
  9. Complete documentation packages and drawing sets;
  10. Examine drawings for conformity and errors;
  11. Consult with client, engineers or production specialists to establish product requirements;
  12. Operate CADD and other computer software systems.
