Hours of Work: 40 hours/week

Salary: $ 36.00 CAD / hour

Duties:

  • Performing administrative/clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, monitoring patient records, billing and insurance
  • Preparing patients for dental examinations
  • Assisting the dentist during examinations and general dental procedures, including but not limited to: dental implants, dental bridges, dental crowns, dental veneers, oral hygiene, restorative dentistry and tooth extractions
  • Explaining treatments to patients prior to dental procedures
  • Providing patients with comfort and support
  • Sterilizing and maintaining instruments and dental equipment
  • Educating patients on oral hygiene and methods to prevent tooth decay, cavities…etc.
  • Preparing dental instruments, fillings, compounds and various dental materials
  • Responsible for pouring impressions to create accurate dental models or casts and infection control procedures.
  • Collaborating with dental team members

Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school is required
  • 3+ years of experience working in a Dental Clinic is required
  • Experience assisting with dental procedures is required
  • Must be confident using dental instruments
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) is required
  • Ability to work independently and in a group-setting
