Overview

Job Title: Database Developer

This is a remote position as part of Fidelity's dynamic working arrangement. Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.

Responsibilities
  • Work with stakeholders, technology and agile project managers to define business requirements for every scrum/project and map out end-to-end solutions.
  • Design, develop, enhance, modify, and maintain application code and software solutions based on specific business requirements.
  • Liaise with internal user groups as needed to effectively program applications based on business and systems requirements.
  • Ensure that functional specifications can be implemented technically while developing and innovating creative solutions.
  • Be an integral part of the Information Systems team focused on the effective development and support of internal facing applications.
  • Work collaboratively with peers and business partners to deliver high quality projects and innovative solutions that advance Fidelity's position within the mutual fund industry.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent work experience.
  • 4 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in developing applications for the mutual fund / investment industry.
  • Passionate in developing database solutions.
  • Development experience in Progress OpenEdge or other database platforms such as Oracle or MySQL.
  • Effective communication skills with ability to prepare project documentation and presentations.
