Salary: $124,500 to $160,800 per year (To be negotiated) – 37.5 hours per week.

Employment type: Permanent full-time. Starts as soon as possible. Vacancy: 1.

Overview

We are looking for a data scientist to communicate the business and technical benefits of analytic solutions, conduct studies to aid decisions on system implementation or migration, and lead and coordinate teams of information systems professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate the business and technical benefits of the analytic solution to both business and technical audiences.
  • Conduct business and technical studies to aid in decisions on system implementation or migration.
  • Confer with clients to identify requirements.
  • Discover trends and patterns within large amounts of information.
  • Document technical requirements to ensure that products, processes and solutions meet business requirements.
  • Extract information from unstructured sets of data.
  • Provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management and service delivery.
  • Lead and coordinate teams of information systems professionals in the development of software, integrated information systems, process control software and other embedded software control systems.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Conduct reviews to assess quality assurance practices, software products and information systems.
  • Lead and coordinate teams of data administrators in the development and implementation of data policies, standards and models.
  • Conduct usability testing and perform security and quality controls.
  • Execute and document results of software application tests and information and telecommunication systems tests.
  • Project management, leading/instructing individuals.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma, Computer and information sciences, general; Engineering, general; Mathematics, general; Economics, general; Business statistics.
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in data science, project implementation, and management.
  • Technical knowledge: Machine Learning.
  • Area of specialization: Risk management.
  • Supervision: Ability to lead 5‑10 people.
  • Personal suitability: Excellent oral and written communication, innovation.
