The Opportunity

Join a leadership team of actuaries, data scientists and engineers at the forefront of leveraging data to drive decisions at every level of our organization. The insurance industry is undergoing a data‑driven, technology revolution and you will be in the driver’s seat.

Insurance pricing, underwriting, claims and other core insurance functions are all looking for actionable insights that can be coaxed out of our data. You and your team will work with these business areas to realize this value & further embed data science in our operations.

Our leadership team collectively seeks to expand our very strong and diverse talent base. You will take shared ownership for continuing this successful growth.

What you’ll do
  • Oversee, develop and mentor a highly productive team of data scientists, actuaries & insurance professionals.
  • Establish a vision with stakeholders and create a culture that treats data and data science as essential assets.
  • Lead the development and deployment of modern tools and pricing solutions.
  • Deliver on an ambitious model‑building and pricing roadmap for commercial insurance.
What you’ll bring
  • 7+ years of experience in data science, actuarial or other analytical roles.
  • Cross‑functional skills that allow you to straddle the worlds of data scientists, actuaries, engineers & core insurance functions.
  • The ability to not simply build a great algorithm or solution but also to generate buy‑in, excitement and support for the offering.
  • Excellent leadership skills and a track record of high engagement, innovation and empowerment of your team.
What makes you stand out
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing price modeling strategies using advanced machine learning techniques.
  • Strong background in price optimization, retention modeling, and conversion modeling.
  • Recognition as a clear subject matter expert in one or more of; pricing, underwriting, claims, predictive modeling, data science, or other insurance functions.
  • Fluent in both English and French, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
