A technology consulting firm located in Toronto is seeking a skilled Data & Business Analyst to support data strategy and business transformation. The role requires strong expertise in data analysis, SQL, and Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, along with the ability to document and translate complex data requirements. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of experience and be bilingual in Spanish. This position offers a hybrid work model with 4 days onsite per week and a competitive contract duration until October 2026.

Location and Schedule

Location Address: 40 Temperance Street 15th Floor – hybrid – 4 days onsite/week (may change to 5 days)
Contract Duration: ASAP – 10/30/2026
Schedule Hours: 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week (Possible OT)

The Data & Business Analyst contributes to the overall success of the organization by supporting data strategy, enabling a unified data platform, and helping deliver business transformation across regions. The role combines strong data analysis and business analysis capabilities, including requirements gathering, collaboration with IT and cross border teams, process improvement, stakeholder engagement, and Salesforce functional support.

Typical Day in Role
  • Analyze, document, and translate data requirements into detailed specifications, including source to target mappings, transformation rules, and data quality checks.
  • Perform detailed data analysis to troubleshoot issues and support data pipeline processes.
  • Support data migration activities, including documentation of cleansing rules and validation of end to end test results.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models to support business reporting needs.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements; translate them into functional and technical specifications.
  • Develop BRDs, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications for data and technology initiatives.
  • Conduct gap analysis, identify risks, and propose solutions for complex data and business problems.
  • Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case design, execution, and defect resolution.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and data engineering to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Provide functional support for Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC), including data structures, objects, and workflows.
  • Build and optimize Salesforce reports and dashboards. Investigate and resolve Salesforce data and process issues with business and technical teams.
Candidate Requirements / Must Have Skills
  1. 10+ years of experience in data analysis, data modeling or business analysis (Strong documentation skills for both business and technical requirements)
  2. 5+ years of experience with SQL
  3. Hands-on experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dashboards, reporting)
  4. 3+ years of experience with Salesforce FSC, especially reporting and data model understanding.
  5. Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL, data pipelines, and metadata management
  6. Bilingual in Spanish
Nice-To-Have Skills
  1. Experience in Wealth Management, Capital Markets, or Financial Services
  2. Coding experience
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or equivalent.

Best VS. Average Candidate

The ideal candidate would be bilingual in Spanish, with strong Salesforce experience and wealth management experience.
