About The Role

The Data Analyst is responsible for translating business reporting needs into trusted, decision-ready insights for project site teams, departments and executive audiences. This will be our first dedicated Data Analyst and will be a unique opportunity to create meaningful and impactful change within Axiom Builders. This role partners closely with the Data Engineer to ensure data is accurate, well-defined, and usable through curated datasets, standardized metrics, and high-quality Power BI dashboards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, maintain, and improve Power BI dashboards and scorecards for project/site, departmental, and executive audiences;
  • Apply best practices in visualization, measure design, performance, and report governance;
  • Develop and maintain a KPI/data dictionary and report documentation (definitions, refresh cadence, intended use, and limitations);
  • Support a “single source of truth” approach by aligning stakeholders on definitions and interpretation of metrics;
  • Validate data quality (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness) for key dashboards and critical reporting outputs;
  • Investigate anomalies and reconcile results across systems;
  • Promote data literacy by explaining metrics in plain language and documenting “how to” usage for key reports.
About You

You are an analytical problem solver who enjoys data visualization as much as you enjoy providing actionable insights to the business. You are also a trusted partner to stakeholders, known for clear communication, thoughtful requirement gathering, and delivering iterative, high-value solutions.

Skills And Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience between Data Analytics and/or Engineering
  • Diploma or similar education in Computer Science or Data Analytics; comparable data-focused programs and work experiences will also be considered;
  • Advanced skills using Power BI (data modeling concepts, DAX measures, report design, performance optimization);
  • Experience with tools like Power Query and SQL for querying, validating, and reconciling reporting datasets;
  • Knowledge of Construction Management reporting concepts (RFIs, submittals, change management, issues, inspections) is considered an asset.
