Job description

Moosehead Breweries Limited is Canada's last-major brewer still owned by Canadians. Headquartered in Saint John, New Brunswick, the company has been operated by the Oland family since it was established in 1867.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our team. This role is based in Moosehead's Saint John brewery office. In this role, you will transform complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, build intuitive dashboards, and deliver impactful analyses.

Responsibilities
  • Manage requirements from stakeholders to understand business objectives, metrics, and decision-making needs
  • Gather requirements and translate business questions into clear reporting and analyses
  • Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Execute data analysis to surface trends, drivers, and actionable insights to inform decisions
  • Develop, automate, and maintain dashboards and reports that provide clear, actionable insights
  • Present analyses and findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Communicate progress, key results, and potential risks to stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Research and prototype new analytical techniques, tools, and data visualization approaches
  • Execute exploratory and diagnostic analyses to uncover patterns, correlations, and root causes
  • Manage data integrity through continuous quality checks and documentation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas, best practices, and new tools/techniques
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Business and Advanced Analytics from NBCC or equivalent 2-year Data Analytics program
  • Experience with data modeling and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python, R, MATLAB, or DAX
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Solid understanding of statistical methods and familiarity with machine learning concepts
  • Ability to interpret stakeholder requirements and deliver timely, actionable results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and capable of working independently
  • Quick learner with a demonstrated ability to adopt new tools and technologies
  • Knowledge of databases, data warehousing, and data cubes is considered an asset
