DAS Administrative Coordinator

Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the assigned supervisor, provide a variety of program and project administration and administrative services to the assigned team within the Development and Asset Strategies Branch.
  • Coordinate all administrative aspects of assigned programs and projects, which are complex, multi-dimensional, and involve numerous stakeholders; exercise considerable judgment and initiative to support successful conclusions.
  • Ensure effective project administration and development, maintain relationship management with project partners, and help the team meet expedited project timelines.

Salary: $55,203.10 - $62,584.80 annually

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

  • Completion of a post-secondary diploma in business or program administration or other relevant discipline, including courses related to contract and accounting administration.
  • Experience in a relevant subject area and in environments such as housing, construction, or development.
  • Front-of-office experience with a development firm may be required for certain positions.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience acceptable to the employer.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Practical knowledge of program/project, accounting, and contract administration, including invitational and public procurement, and tendering practices.
  • Knowledge of accounting processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and standard office software.
  • Some knowledge of construction processes, cash flow, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Ability to read and review tender documents, change orders, and other contract documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team; strong organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent tact, diplomacy, judgment, written and verbal communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, and initiative with attention to detail.
