As a Hitachi Solutions D365 F&O Technical Architect, you will be responsible for leading technical design and ensuring alignment with customer requirements and long-term strategy, while contributing to Hitachi intellectual property and packaged services initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the initial phase of client projects by leading technical workshops and providing design guidance in areas such as extensions/modifications, data conversion, environment provisioning, and application integration.
- Work with the customer and end users to define technical requirements.
- Lead technical workshops and design sessions with the Customer and other ISV vendors.
- Ensure technical requirements align with customer requirements and performance goals; maintain consistency with the client’s long-term strategy.
- Fully understand the capabilities and limitations of the technical environments of the applications used by the enterprise.
- Ensure proposed gap resolutions fit the overall architecture and business logic of Dynamics AX and its modules.
- Align RICEW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversion/Data Migration, Extensions) customization requests with each other.
- Perform the technical design for all RICEW components.
- Review technical architecture deliverables to ensure quality and requirements traceability.
- Hold overall technical responsibility for project environments until handover and ensure internal development guidelines are followed.
- Identify and communicate cross-area or cross-release issues affecting other project areas.
- Participate in quality management reviews and ensure adherence to standards.
- Validate designs with stakeholders to ensure requirements are satisfied and apply security practices throughout the lifecycle.
- Contribute to the development of Hitachi IP and Packaged Services initiatives.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of the D365 F&O technology stack and related Azure and data services (e.g., Azure SQL, Power BI, Common Data Service, Power Apps, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Machine Learning, etc.).
- Deliver business value by leveraging technology and communicate strategic technical concepts at an executive level.
- Operate as a self-motivated individual capable of working under dynamic conditions and deadlines.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of ERP technical implementation and integration experience with Enterprise clients (AX 2009, AX 2012).
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (implementation and consulting) with Enterprise clients; 3+ years of experience with Dynamics AX 2012.
- Minimum of two full lifecycle ERP implementations leading a technical workstream (integration, data conversion, or extension development).
- Good understanding of Life Cycle Services (LCS) and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with SQL, Power BI, C#, and the .NET framework.
- Knowledge of end-to-end D365FO implementation and interfacing/integration.
- Ability to gather technical requirements.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations in topics such as Data Management Framework (DIXF), PowerApps, LogicApps, Common Data Service, and Azure services.
- Understanding of synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns; extension vs over-layering approaches; role-based security and Extensible Data Security; report development and Power BI; CI/CD with Visual Studio Team Services and LifeCycle Services.
- Familiarity with Azure licensing and costing is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong understanding of D365FO functional areas (Financials, Project Management and Accounting, Manufacturing).
- Background likely includes expertise delivering D365O development solutions, development roles, and two large-scale ERP implementations; business requirement analysis and potential pre-sales experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Base Salary Pay Range
USD $115,000 to $185,000. The base salary range is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation; offers consider responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, market data, and other factors.
