We are seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our Hastings Fruitfed Store for a fixed-term opportunity of approximately six months. Whether you’re local to the region, between study, taking a break from university, or simply looking for a hands‑on role with a defined timeframe, this could be the perfect next step.
PGG Wrightson is one of New Zealand's leading providers of products and services to the agricultural and horticultural sectors. We are helping grow the country through our knowledge, service and expertise — and we’re proud to develop people along the way.
Our growers in the region rely on strong support from our store team. As a CSR, you’ll work in a fast‑paced, supportive environment where you’ll gain practical retail and customer service experience while learning about the horticulture industry.
You’ll be involved in the day‑to‑day running of the store — assisting customers, processing sales, managing stock and displays, and supporting growers and farmers to achieve their goals. This is a hands‑on role that builds confidence, communication skills, and real‑world experience in a respected national company.
Sound like a bit of you? You don’t need to tick every box — we provide training and ongoing support. This role is well suited to someone looking to build experience over a fixed term, including university students or those exploring their next career step. If you’re motivated, reliable, and keen to learn, we want to hear from you.
This role offers a great opportunity to build transferable skills, gain industry exposure, and work with a supportive team in a busy retail environment. We invest in our people through training and development, and provide staff benefits including store discounts, KiwiSaver contributions, and discounted medical insurance. We’re also proud to pay at least New Zealand’s living wage.
