As a Culinary Operations Manager, you will plan, guide, and execute contracted services at a recovery center and will be responsible for the management and coordination of Food Services, Housekeeping and Laundry operations to meet operating and financial goals, client objectives, and resident needs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Comply with established Resident policies, practices, and standards regarding Quality, Occupational Health & Safety & Infection Prevention and Control.
  • Conduct the orientation of new departmental staff and familiarize them with their position responsibilities.
  • Plan, standardize, and coordinate the development and delivery of all nutrition & food services program. Ensure all elements of meals are produced and served appropriately in the dining room.
  • Participate in the menu planning process. Assist with the coordination and implementation of the menu changes.
  • Plan, standardize, and coordinate the development of housekeeping practices. Develop and facilitate training programs to demonstrate new equipment and cleaning methods to all departmental staff.
  • Coordinate catering, special project work, and other activities that affect the daily operation of the Foodservices department.
  • Ensure equipment is in proper operating condition and arrange for repairs as needed.
  • Oversee schedules and payroll functions for all 10‑12 staff. Prepare weekly schedules for staff and modify schedules as required to ensure full staff complement during regular shifts for culinary and housekeeping staff.
  • Assist with the coordination and implementation of front‑line job routines and duties.
  • Cover sick and vacation time as needed.
  • Assist with the implementation of ARAMARK programs and controls. Perform food and sanitization log audits.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach with regard to client concerns and expectations.
  • Manage rotation of audit logs, daily menu postings.
  • Establish and continually appraise requirements for staff, physical facilities, equipment and supplies to consistently achieve the quality/safety standard.
  • Perform all other duties as required as needed.
Qualifications
  • University or College diploma.
  • A minimum of 5 years management experience.
  • Strong financial controls, food/equipment, procurement, production and service systems and business ethics.
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
Education

Minimum 5 years experience.
