A leading agricultural company in Kelowna is seeking a Crew Manager to oversee work teams during cherry harvest. The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to manage employees while adhering to safety standards. The ideal candidate must work well with diverse individuals and be flexible to work long hours during peak season. This position offers a full-time opportunity with a wage range of $22 - $25 per hour based on experience.
Jealous Fruits is the northernmost large scale cherry producer in North America. We grow premium cherries along the shores of Okanagan Lake in the renowned Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada. Our cherries are all hand packed in our state-of-the-art facility, located right on our farm, and shipped to our customers worldwide.
Under the direction of the Farm Manager the Crew Manager will organize work teams, monitor progress, and ensure quality compliance. During the demands of harvest, you will be required to communicate progress to the Farm Manager, ensure fruit is picked in a timely manner, and the quality of picking meets company standards. The Crew Manager will manage the worker camp and ensure all employees are following company policies and safety regulations. The successful candidate must be people-centered, supportive, and flexible to create a positive work environment. Ensuring employees adhere to company policies as well as work and food safety regulations will be of utmost importance.
