Job description

The Creative Design Technologist plays a critical role in translating creative design concepts into clear, complete, and fabrication-ready documentation and 3D models. Reporting to the Manager of Creative Studio, this entry-level role works closely with ride design, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure creative concepts are practical, manufacturable, and fully documented for ordering and fabrication. This position is ideal for a recent graduate with strong technical aptitude, a high level of organization, and the drive to improve processes and workflows within a fast-paced production environment.

Your Challenge

• Support creative designers by developing 3D models and assemblies that reflect design intent while meeting manufacturing constraints
• Translate concepts into clear, accurate, and fabrication‑ready technical documentation
• Coordinate with manufacturing and engineering teams to validate that designs are feasible, manufacturable, and aligned with production capabilities
• Prepare complete drawing packages and supporting documentation required for ordering, fabrication, and production
• Ensure drawings and documentation meet internal standards for clarity, accuracy, and completeness
• Track project schedules and manage documentation deliverables to meet tight production timelines
• Work within high‑pressure, deadline‑driven project environments while maintaining accuracy and quality
• Support design‑for‑manufacturing (DFM) reviews and incorporate feedback from internal stakeholders
• Create, modify, and maintain 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD to support design development and fabrication documentation
• Identify opportunities to improve documentation standards, workflows, and internal processes
• Communicate clearly with cross‑functional teams to resolve technical questions and close information gaps
• Support the Creative Studio team with technical coordination and documentation as required

What You Bring To The Role

• Recent graduate or junior‑level candidate with a diploma or degree in Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Design, or a related technical discipline
• Foundational proficiency in SolidWorks, with the ability to produce clear technical drawings and 3D models
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and design‑for‑manufacturing (DFM) principles
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple documentation deliverables in parallel
• Demonstrated ability to work under tight timelines and shifting priorities
• High attention to detail with a strong commitment to drawing accuracy and completeness
• Comfortable coordinating with multiple internal teams (ride design, engineering, manufacturing)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite
• Interest in process improvement and a willingness to apply new ideas to improve documentation workflows
• Self‑motivated, dependable, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced production environment
• Co‑op, internship, or academic project experience in a manufacturing or technical design environment is considered an asset
